Pubic Hair Trimming
The Need For Trimmed Pubes
There isn’t any divine law saying that you must go trim your pubes – but there are a lot of reasons for cutting pubic hair.
The most important reason is personal. If trimmed pubes are what you want, then that’s enough reason to start cutting pubic hair. Don’t feel that you have to justify your decision to anybody: your body is yours, to manipulate however you choose. You don’t even need to understand why you prefer trimed hair: “do what thou wilt” as the old phrase says! Admittedly there are social reasons – maybe a partner likes trimmed hair, maybe it’s a social group thing. But none of them have control over your body.
Pubic hair trimming needn’t be an all-year, permanent decision. It is entirely possible to cut your pubes just for the summer season, so you can look the way you want to look when you’re wearing a bikini.
Trimming isn’t just about looks – some women trim their pubic hair for simple reasons of personal hygeine. Granted, this isn’t such a key factor when we all have access to soap and running water, but it does explain the role of trimming in history.
Trimming Isn’t The Only Option
Trimming is just one of the many options for controlling your pubic hair. You could also try waxing, shaving, or using a tweezer. But all these methods have disadvantages. Waxing can be painful and either expensive (if done professionally) or difficult (if done at home). Shaving your pubes can cause the pubic hair to return more coarse than it was before, and in any case the pubes are likely to grow back within a few days. Using a tweezer can be even more painful than waxing.
But trimming stands out as the best option for women who would like to keep some of their pubic hair. It is also a sensible option for those who wish to remove it all, perhaps as an initial step towards some other procedure.
How To Trim Your Pubic Hair
Manicure scissors are the weapon of choice for trimming pubic hair. Don’t be tempted to use ordinary kitchen scissors for this delicate job. The sharp edges on such scissors make it far too easy to give yourself a nick in exactly the wrong place. For the same reason, be sure to take care with whatever scissors you use.
It is possible to buy special scissors for trimming pubic hair, but it’s debatable how much advantage this offers you over any other manicure scissors. On the other hand, if it makes you feel comfortable to use special equipment for cutting pubic hair, then go ahead and do it!
